Having Your House on The Market in The Middle of the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19)

Is your home already on the market? Did viewings start to slow down before the pandemic hit?

In January Rightmove recorded its busiest month ever as home hunters flocked to the market to buy their dream home.

Now is perfect the time to freshen up those walls, put up that shelf that never got out of the box and even plant those tulip seeds that are still in the packet down in the shed.

"A neat, well-kept garden was voted by buyers as the aspect of a property most likely to win them over, with cleanliness, new decor and fresh flowers also coming high on the list of factors that would most appeal to house hunters." according to money website ThisIsMoney. Giving your home a face-lift and putting that little bit more life into it will help boost the chance to finally sell and get onto the next journey in your life. Find a list below of tasks to keep you occupied while in lockdown and most importantly help sell your home.

  • Get rid of those nasty weeds
  • A fresh lick of paint on the walls
  • Dust down those hard-to-reach places
  • Cleaning the carpets/flooring
  • Big clean of the bathroom. (Mould in the bathroom and on windows put 50% of buyers off

Once the pandemic starts to end and you have done everything possible to give your home a little bit more life, then it would be a good idea to get your agent to retake your photos and re-upload them to all property websites.
